Flashlights of God

Planet Dan has some really gross pictures of kids with tails and some funny commentary about things creationists hate at his blog. Which reminds me of a story my mother told me while I was on vacation in Arizona.

One of the docents at the Arizona Desert Museum was conducting a tour and a tourist took umbrage about evolution and the time involved for it to work. The docent calmly explained to the tourist that the universe had to be more than just several thousand years old, because the light from some stars took longer than that to get to the earth. The tourist calmly explained in return that God just turned the stars on when the light got here from a few thousand years away where he started it. Hard to argue with that logic.
