September 2020 Reading
I need to get better at more of a day-by-day entry system, because dang was this a lot of stuff to track. I feel weirdly underread this month despite what is obviously a LOT of reading. I didn't even include starting Little, Big right at the end of the month and some of Dying of Whiteness that may become a co-bedside book with The English. And Lovecraft Country doesn't include that I'm going to watch the series on HBO because I don't do television here. Argh...see, I can already tell I missed the Tim Minchin podcast with David Tennant and that was one of my favorites. Drove me down a whole musical aside. Or Cush Jumbo. Sigh... I bolded the four Tennant podcasts episodes I liked best, but they were all really, really good. I think Levy's was the one I like least, because I haven't watched his series, although I loved the stories with his dad and his experience in the industry and life.

- 9/22/2020: oh nos - I'm all caught up in the David Tennant podcast series. Have to find a new one. Kind of hard. Tried Lore, didn't like it. The Facts of the day one is fun, but more frivolous. I'm going to go with one from the Times re: internet radicalization, but it's a limited three hour series. Obviously didn't listen to all of these on the same day, but I do get in at least 45 minutes of walking a day, so I keep up a good flow of information. Should maybe try a history one, but I seem to be fairly particular when it comes to topic flow, voice. Fake doctors is good, but sooo long in some way. There's a Dead Eyes podcast similar to Tennant about Holywood rejection stories. That might be good, but less educational. I'd try a machine learning one, but I worry about mentally checking out while I walk and multitask doing Litterati/etc.

June 2020 Reading
June 2020 Reading:
Lot more video and podcasts and all sorts of media. Bit crazy to be honest, but part of it is that I've been focusing on exercise since work from home started due to coronavirus and I find it a bit more difficult to slot in reading around my brain being tired. I'm starting to track a little better, and there's no question I'm getting a lot of media in if you look at all the video and podcast content below. I think I even missed some career-related reading I didn't bother to track. Lot of doubles for days as well, so I'm stuffing in a lot. Wish more of it was board game related. Maybe that's a July goal.

- I finally found volume 2 tucked away between some D&D books in the games area in the kitchen. I really thought my mother in law had borrowed it before her move as she had been asking about which one to read based on my kid reading them. I still don't have number 4. I suspect I'll probably never get it. They're enjoyable, but....bits and pieces are juvenile (go figure) in a way that's actually not in the movies with Ryan Reynolds. There are juvenile bits in the movies, but the comic doesn't try to approach it in a positive humor sense where it could. Not that I'm surprised. I do like the got-rich-become-a-pirate story line in number 2. Amusing.

- 1/11/2020: The Institute by Stephen King - enjoyable. Sort of Carrie meets Shawshank. I like Outsider and Revival better (the latter because of the more Cthulhuesque bent).
