My Toes Are Gross in Closeup

Don't say I didn't warn you.  I cropped the photo a bit so you don't have to look at my hairy old man hobbit toes.  You're welcome.  My foot has been itching like crazy for a few days and my mood has been off.  After a bit of scratching without investigating, assuming it was pollen in the air, I noticed that between my two largest toes on my left foot there's a nice lump with some dead skin in the middle.  It looks suspiciously like a bite.  If I scratch it, my whole foot starts to itch.  I thought at first it was a spider bite, but then io9 told me that spider bites aren't usually spider bites.  All that did was make me a temporary hypochondriac with achy joints as I worry about coming down with MRSA.

I'm pretty sure it's not a flea or a bedbug.  But that leaves me wondering what crawled between my toes and was offended by my dreams of tap dancing.  A lot of cortisone seems to be helping and I'm less concerned about MRSA with the redness confining itself to the immediate area of the...whatever it is.

Caching Reboot

I went out tonight to do some geoaching, bicycling to the closest three to my house.  Apparently I'm out of practice, because I had two Did Not Finds out of three attempts.  And I haven't been out in so long that I forgot that pants are mandatory in the summer.  And sort of mandatory in the winter in Minnesota, come to think of it.  This is one scratch out of several I did find along with a nice multi-spotted shin/ankle bruise that looks like it went as deep as the bone.  Obviously, I don't cache half-assed.  I won't give up.  I'd like to hit all the new ones by the house.  But I'll be throwing on my old fat guy Dockers to trudge through the scrub, regardless of how stupid I look on my bike.

I did get a nice photograph of some near-cache flowers for my troubles.  Much better than the flattened prayer penny that was available.
