2017

My posting is few and far between.  I managed a couple last year after my playing around with Unity, but new projects sort of brought a halt to things.  Strangely they brought a halt to reading, writing, enjoying my job as much as I should, and a bunch of other habits I'd qualify as good habits.  I've been trying to rectify that.  I've decreed that 2017 for me is the year of finishing things and, in some cases, restarting them.  So I'm reading more.  Focusing on more exercise even when I get off base.  Finishing up the video games I've been enjoying instead of starting new ones, programming more, and just generally getting everything back together again.  That means I might pop back in a time for a few posts and cover Ingress, which I've been playing for most of year, my trip to my Aunt's birthday in Texas, my folks' 50th anniversary in Hawaii, our trip to New York...just sort of get it all aligned again.  I value my blog as a reminder of things I've done with commentary.  Facebook doesn't capture that experience or narrative, no matter how many bells and whistles it adds to tell me what I did 1, 3, 5, and 10 years ago (maybe not 10, but they're sneaking up on it).  I can see why my sister bailed on it - it adds a certain amount of noise to one's life.

So here's to trying to get back in the saddle again including some posts about plays, movies, and books I've been enjoying.
