The Value of Sharing and Friendship

Those are the lessons you would think Eryn would learn from her repeated viewings of The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland.

Yet she has taken a dramatically different approach and at only 19 months and change decided to model her life completely after the character of Huxley (played by Mandy Patinkin), declaring whenever she can "Mine". All the books are hers, my coffee is hers, the toys are hers, the pens are hers, anything Pooteewheet owns is hers, and the crayons are hers (well, I guess they really are). But she has extended it to also include her crotch (if she's getting her diaper changed) and any part of her body that anyone asks her to move to a place that might be more convenient for normal functioning in and out of polite society (Eryn, please sit down in the restaurant. Mine, mine, mine, mine! Eryn, time to change your diaper. Mine, mine, mine, mine!). Lately, she even mutters "mine" in her sleep.

If only she had a little brother named "Bug", I think she'd be set.

Well, to be fair, her crotch really is hers, too, it's just really funny that she feels the need to tell us about it every time.
