Randomness

Insofar as it's what's left over in my head today.

1.) We're going to appreciate Steve in our neighborhood (see the last post). I heard a whisper that the previous owners of his house may be leaving because there are too many "blacks" (i.e. Hispanics and Asians) in the nighborhood. Good riddance, eh. We'll be glad to see your moving van.
2.) The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou - only a 50% on RottenTomatoes and yet I really liked it. I chucked all the way through the thing.
3.) A wonderful (and scary) article from The Revealer, Soldiers of Christ - Inside America's most powerful megachurch - an article for Harper's. Absolutely worth reading. Well written and some moments that are hilarious and terrifying at the same moment. I think Mean Mr. Mustard and Klund will appreciate the part where one of the worshippers starts talking about Lord of the Rings and Christianity and their similarities (do a search on Balrog).
4.) 'Ana' and the Anorexics, from Yahoo - I'd read about this a few months ago in another article - it has me paranoid about those wrist bracelets. You can tie it back into #3 if you like - there's a similar mindset.
