Tie
Speaking of Words With Friends, Kyle and I tied. This is the first tie in something like almost 600 games. Not just with Kyle, but overall since around 2011. And then a few days later I tied a random competitor off the internet, sullying the close WWF bond I forged with Kyle. It's surprising how seldom this actually happens.

Words With Friends - Interesting Random Challenge
This guy/woman absolutely crushed me in Words With Friends. I was trying to decide if s/he was a bot. How else do you get 9999 unique words played? Then again, if they're that brilliant at WWF maybe their personal achievement is to use as many unique words as possible. Which makes me wonder how you keep track of the specific 9999+ words you've played. It's either that, or you're a savant. I even went to the trouble of looking the player id up on Google to see if anyone else had been mauled, but they're un-Google-able.

Lefse
I have a real problem with Lefse not being in Words with Friends. Someone on line noted tamale was ok. But not lefse. As a Minnesotan who found the word incredibly obvious in his tile lineup and a real treat because it was a potential triple word score, I was shocked to get the Sorry message. And then I read the Wikipedia entry which says it's only in some states' grocery stores, Starbuck (MN) is home to the largest lefse, and Rushford (MN) produces the most in the US. Maybe it is primarily a Minnesota thing, although I don't know what the hell else I'd call it if someone gave me some. Does everyone else in the US just pretend it's a defective flour tortilla?

Morphology and Other Things
I had a few pictures floating around that I hadn't posted yet, so I thought I'd get them out here.
Eryn and I played Morphology for the first time. You need at least four people (so teams) to play - but we gave it a test run just to understand it and see how it played. This is the first creation done with our set. Eryn was doing "Island".
This was my first attempt, "Seahorse". It's difficult! I think it's one of those things you need to wrap your brain around so you get good at the game. But by the end, I guessed Bubble Bath, so we must have been getting better. Either at guessing or modeling. While we were playing in the garage, I put the postcards from the Kickstarter fundraiser back in the box and noticed one told me to "recover soon"! That's what I get for not deconstructing it earlier. Apparently Erik told Kate (who created Morphology) that I'd been in an accident.
A picture from the Day by Day Cafe this morning. A bit of a celebration as I go back to work tomorrow.
I knew it, but Words with Friends proved it. It didn't surprise me that it didn't deny it was a word, only that he's unacceptable.
Ming did his business on my driveway. While I was incapacitated he seal coated by driveway, which was rolling up snow into what looked like cinnamon rolls of ice and rock last winter. Took three tubs of seal coat. So not a small job. I'm very appreciative. It's nice not to have my driveway crumbling to pieces, and I don't think I could have gone after it for a few more months. Although I am going to ask the physical therapy folks if I can use my electric chain saw on the half of a maple that pitched over during the last big storm.

Words With Friends
I have a lot of time for Words With Friends and Draw Something while cooped up in the basement. Kristine and Klund's wife both tend to crush me. But I do ok against Klund himself and Dwain. Maybe it's how women think that I can't compete with. It didn't help Dwain that I was just biding my time for the perfect place to play my JO and he provided it. Bad thing about Words With Friends, in my opinion, is that one minimalist placement can determine the whole game. Particularly when it's a 158 point placement.
