New Business Phase I Hate

I hate it when someone says something like, "I asked Jim to check on that." And then person number two responds, "Did you timebound that?"

Gives me the willies just typing it.

"Timebound".... that has to be one of the stupidest corporate-speak terms I have ever heard - and I work with a former HP manager. It took a lot of sarcastic taunting to break him of most of his corporate-speak tendencies.

Did you have to fight an instinctive urge to smack the person uttering said phrase?

You can tell how much it annoyed me by the fact that I remembered it over the whole day and devoted a post to it. Corporate-speak - ugh.

To be honest, I've never heard it. Maybe I'm not in enough management meetings.

The next time management asks me to join them, I'm going to try and use it. Just to see how many nods in agreement I get.
